NFIP flood insurance: Beaufort & Jasper counties
Built from FEMA's public OpenFEMA NFIP Redacted Policies v3 dataset. Refreshed 2026-10-16.
How to read this: each row in FEMA's data is one policy term, so counts are policy terms with an effective date in that year (roughly, active policies written or renewed that year). Premium is FEMA's
totalInsurancePremiumOfThePolicy and excludes federal fees and surcharges. Private flood policies are not included. FEMA redacts and may revise records.Policy terms by year

Why older policies keep rising
Under FEMA's Risk Rating 2.0 pricing, most policies below their full-risk rate move up a "glide path": by law, most increases are capped at 18% a year for primary residences (25% for other policies) until the full-risk rate is reached. FEMA explainer.
